Rampart Creek Campground is one of the sites that allows RVs in Banff National Park. That being said, they can only accommodate small RVs. The campsites are all back-in and have lots of shade from the surrounding trees. There are no hookups, but they have well water (hand-pumped), pit toilets, fire rings, recycling bins and food storage containers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About Rampart Creek Campground<\/strong><br \/>\nRampart Creek is a small, basic campground with 50 sites. It is located near the Columbia Icefields (28 km away) along the Icefields Highway. It is 147 km from the town of Banff and 88 km from the town of Lake Louise.<\/p>\n<p>Reservations are not accepted for this campsite. Most sites in Banff National Park are first-come, first served. Check out time is at 11 a.m., and is the best time to arrive to secure your site. Check here for reservable campsites.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the sites have the privilege to overlook the North Saskatchewan River and the valley. The site is open from June 25-September 6, 2010 (weather dependent).<\/p>\n<p>The campground consists of 4 loops including a walk-in tent section with dry toilets, water stations, sheltered camp kitchens with wood burning cook stoves, garbage containers and recycling bins. <strong>Remember: this is bear country, so all food items must be stored properly. Read all advisories when you arrive, as they may have information about dangerous wildlife and\/or inform you if you need to boil the water. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Campground Services<\/strong><br \/>\n-Dry toilets<br \/>\n-Well water (hand pump)<br \/>\n-Kitchen shelters with wood cook stove<br \/>\n-Fire pits and firewood (available when you get the fire permit)<br \/>\n-Smoke-free loop<br \/>\n-Recycling bins<br \/>\n-Food storage<br \/>\n-Disabled access<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fees<\/strong><br \/>\n$15.70 for the site and an additional $8.80 for use of the fire pit. Note: Parks Canada reserves the right to change the fees without notice.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Banff Activities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Visit the Columbia Icefields, go hiking and try ice climbing in nearby He was elected to the Board of Directors in 2001, becoming Club President in 2005. In 2019, he was acclaimed as Club Vice-President, assuming the role of Club President again in 2022. In addition to his work at the Canmore Golf &amp; Curling Club, Schultz is also an avid traveler. He has visited over 30 countries around the world, on all continents. But his most enjoyable travel experiences have come from within Canada, visiting many of Canada's National Parks including Banff National Park, Yoho National Park, Jasper National Park, Kootenay National Park, Grasslands National Park, Mount Revelstoke National Park and Pacific Rim National Park.
